Obituary for Mavis Mann
Mavis Mann, a longtime area resident, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y. She was 75 years old.The daughter of the late Rekeman and Amelia Baugh she was born on April 17, 1931 in Portland, Jamaica. Prior to her retirement, Mavis operated "All Sides Embroidery" in Jamaica.She is survived by her sisters Plumy and Minna, both of Portland, Jamaica, and Olive of Connecticut; one brother, Albert, of Portland, Jamaica; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved friends, Leonie Tugman and Patrice Madden of Middletown.Mavis was predeceased by her only daughter and husband.Family and friends may call on Friday, October 27, 2006 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown.A Funeral Service of Remembrance will take place at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will will be private and at the convenience of the family.Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
