Adrian E. Potts of Matamoras PA, formerly of Middletown, died peacefully at home on Saturday December 17. He was 64.
One of twelve children of the late Blain L. and Catherine Foderaro Potts, he was born on January 26, 1947 in Long Branch, NJ. He served in the U.S. Army and later married his beloved wife, Barbara. Barbara and Adrian raised their children in Nutley, NJ and later moved to the Middletown area. In 1991, they moved to Milford, PA where Adrian became a member of First Bible Church of Pike County. He was an active member of his church, even during his recent illness. He was very compassionate about bible studies. In his youth, he played baseball with the Oakland A's organization. Adrian founded the Orange County Royals, which raised money for muscular Dystrophy and scholarships for schools He worked as a production mechanic for Anheiser Busch in New Windsor until his retirement.
He is survived by his son Clifford Potts and his wife Brenda and daughter Kristina Burgos and her husband Victor Burgos, Jr. , all of Middletown; five beloved grandchildren, Christopher, Anthony, Kassandra, Victor III, and Manuel; several nieces and nephews; and longtime friend and devoted caregiver, Ruth Portsmouth.
Visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Dan Ralston at 12:30 pm on Wednesday. Burial will be private in the family plot in Wallkill Cemetery in Middletown at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
