John J. Riccardulli, a longtime Middletown resident, died at Orange Regional Medical Center on Friday, March 22, 2013. He was 101 years old.
The son of the late Leonard and Angela Arozo Riccardulli, he was born on January 29, 2012 in Manhattan. He married Bette Lang who survives him at home after 65 years of marriage. John worked as a truck driver for the Schlitz Beer Company until his retirement. Prior to moving to the Middletown area 5 years ago, John and Bette lived in the Bronx.
In addition to his loving wife Bette, he is survived by his sons; Stephen Riccardulli and his wife Lynn of Goshen and Ronald Riccardulli and his wife Christine of Washingtonville;nine grandchildren, Christine, Stephen, William, Dina, Dawn, Tia, Nicole, Daniel and Anthony; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
John was predeceased by one son, Anthony and his wife Linda;three brothers, Pat, Tony and Nick and four sisters, Frances, Virginia, Anna and Rose.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 8 pm Tuesday evening. Following cremation, interment will take place in the family Niche at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Rt. 9W, Middle Hope, NY 12550.
Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY.
