Obituary for Zachary J. Samolia
ZACHARY J. SAMOILA
July 4, 1990 - August 30, 2018
Middletown, NY
Zachary J. Samoila, a longtime resident of the area, died unexpectedly on August 30, 2018 in Middletown, NY. He was 28 years old.
One of two children of C. Lynne Le Beau and Mircea “ Mitch” Samoila, he was born on July 4, 1990 in Middletown, NY. Zach was a young man who always tried to fulfill his lofty career goals. He was curious, gentle and eager to learn new things. He was a high school honor student and received an academic scholarship to Syracuse University. Zach excelled in school. He wanted to shape the world through his education. He studied many religions, searching for his guiding spirit. When medical problems surfaced, Zach was forced to cease his studies and reshape his life. He never abandoned his dreams, but accepted the new reality of his life. He was proud of his independence and his new apartment.
Zach was deeply loved and cherished by his parents.
His family’s hearts are broken and unsettled by the mystery of his sudden death. Zachary is survived by his loving family: his mother, Lynne LeBeau of Rock Hill; his father, Mitch and his wife, Eileen Samoila of Middletown; his grandmother, Maria Samoila of Queens; three uncles and several cousins as well as his best childhood friend, Joana.
In addition to his sister, Chelsey, Zach was predeceased by his grandfather, Nick Samoila and “Poppy", Richard Neal.
Funeral arrangements are at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in the family plot in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. www.applebee-mcphillips.com
