Yvonne Fern Clarke of Middletown, NY died on Thursday 6/30/2022 at Garnet Health Medical Center. She was 83 years old.
Yvonne was born in Gatun, Panama on December 28, 1938. She was married to her husband, Philemon A. Clarke, for 49 years prior to his passing in 2008. Yvonne spent over 25 years lovingly taking care of residents at Orange County Infirmary prior to her retirement.
Yvonne is survived by her 6 children; Fernando Clarke and his wife Debra, Alberto Clarke, Felicia Clarke, and Stanecia Clarke, all of Middletown, NY. Rigoberto Clarke of Texas, and Charlotte Whyte and her husband Edwin, of North Carolina.
Yvonne also leaves behind her brother, Edwin Edwards of Maryland, her sister Lurline Brantley of Virginia, and her sister Miriam Morrison and husband Byron, of New York, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Yvonne was predeceased by her mother Phenize Durant, brothers John and Beresford Durant, her sister Elinor Mack and her grandsons Steven and Darnell Clarke.
Visitation hours are from 10-12 am on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home Inc, 130 Highland Ave, Middletown, NY. A Service of Remembrance is at 12 pm where Bishop Robert Smith Sr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Middletown, NY.
