Obituary for Yvette Yolanda Serrano
Yvette Yolanda Serrano
9/15/1951-12/19/2020
Monroe, NY

Yvette Yolanda Serrano, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on Saturday, December 19. She was 69 years old.
The daughter of the late Gilberto and Mercedes Malave Maldonado, Yvette was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico, on September 15, 1951. Raised in Brooklyn she went on to marry the love of her life, Abraham Serrano on July 10, 1976 and together they raised four beautiful girls.
Yvette loved her family, ranchera music and her home which was always kept spotless. Known for her amazing cooking it made her happy to feed her family. While she was both feisty and funny, she will always be remembered for the extreme pride she showed in her girls and nine grandchildren. Though no longer with us her legacy will continue on in those that were left behind.
Yvette is survived by her loving husband, Abraham, at home, her children, Delilah Foy (Rick) of Central Valley, Cynthia McKelvey (Michael) of Middletown, Tracy Mack (Riley), of Virginia, and Rebecca Caceres (Jonathan) of Monroe. Nine cherished grandchildren, Alexis, Justin, Kaitlyn, MaKayla, Liam, Tyler, Avery, Mateo and Elena. As well as three brothers, Gilbert, Pete, and Daniel. Three sisters, Gloria, Paula, and Diana; and a host of friends and family too numerous to name.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance was held on Wednesday December 23rd, 2020 at Family Church, 510 M&M Rd, Middletown, NY, with her son-in-law Pastor Mike McKelvey, officiating.
