Yetta “Kitty” Sciacca
Yetta “Kitty” Sciacca, a longtime resident of the area, died after a
long illness at Middletown Park Manor on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
She was 81.
The daughter of Louis and Helen Weber Orloff, she was born one of
three children on May 1,1942 in the Bronx.
On April 28, 1962, she married her soulmate and best friend, John Sciacca, Jr., in the Bronx and shared 55 years of marriage before his untimely death in 2017. Despite her grief, Kitty shared her warm personality and love of people at Wolf Lake and the Slate Hill Pacers.
She was a person who would always be ready to take part and help in any activities. She was a reliable, innovative and enthusiastic member of any event that was planned.
Yetta “Kitty”, is survived by her devoted children, sons, Andrew and his wife Kimberley of Norfolk, Va., John III of Middletown NY and daughter, Joy Palazzola and her husband Anthony of Goshen, her cherished grandchildren; Kaylee and Andrew Sciacca Jr. and Anthony Palazzola III.
Visitation will take place on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 3 pm to 7pm with a Funeral Service of Remembrance at 6 pm Officiated by Rabbi Roger Lerner of Monroe Temple Beth-El, Monroe, NY.
