Winston Ivelaw Martindale, Jr., an active NYS Trooper for Troop F in Middletown, died unexpectedly on July 24, 2013 at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY. He was 40.
He was born on May 8, 1973 in Georgetown, Guyana, S.A. to Barbara Jean and Winston Ivelaw Martindale Sr. Winston emigrated to the U.S. in 1989 with his family. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for 18 years and was deployed as a part of Operation Enduring Freedom. Winston was a NYS Trooper for 7 years. He was an active member of Christian Faith Fellowship Family Church in Middletown for over 10 years.
He was married to his wife Michelle for 19 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Michelle and his son, Kyle and daughter, Moriah at home; his parents, Winston and Barbara of Middletown; sister Camille, brother Owen and his wife Tanya, nieces Sanai and Sydney and nephew Owen, Jr as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 30 at Christian Faith Fellowship Family Church, 510 M & M Road, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial with military honors will follow at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924.
