Johnson, NY Winifred Agnes McCabe of Johnson NY, died on Tuesday February 13 at Elant At Goshen. She was 83.
The daughter of the late Samuel and Agnes Stafford Graham she was born on June 24, 1923 in Queens, NY. Â Originally from Park Slope, Winnie moved to the Johnson area in 1984 with her husband, Peter.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Middletown. Winnie loved working- she truly liked her job and got along with everybody she worked with. She took care of constitiuent work for Governor Hugh Carey. Winnie  enjoyed writing letters for Hugh Carey and helping make government work for over 25 years.
She is survived by her close friends, all of the Quinlan family; Karen, Jim, Lurie, Ric and Jimmy and her caretaker, Dawn Einsfeld. She was predeceased by her husband,Peter McCabe, Jr. in 2000 and one brother, Kenneth Graham.
Friends may call on Friday, February 16, 2007 from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be clebrated on Friday at 10 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. John´s Cemetery, Queens, NY.  Â
