WILLIAM ROBERT MORGAN, JR.
April 13, 1939 – June 25, 2011
Middletown, NY
William Robert Morgan, Jr., longtime resident of
the Town of Wallkill, passed away on June 25, 2011
at ORMC, following a long illness.
Born April 13, 1939, in Brooklyn,he was the
only child of the late Dorothy Anna (Hurley) and
William Robert Morgan, Sr. While serving in the
US Air Force he met and fell in love with
Carmen Wilhelms in Germany. The married on
September 10, 1960. Shortly thereafter he settled
with his wife in the Town of Wallkill, where they
raised their two children, and have resided for nearly
fifty years. He retired from Citizen's Telecom after
31 years of service.
Bill was an Elk's member of the BPOE 1097. He was a
former member of the Eagle's Club and Circleville Fire
Company. He served as a Town of Wallkill Zoning Board
member and a Little League Coach. He was a loyal husband to his wife of 50 years, and a
loving father, a good friend, always willing to lend a
hand, Bill maintained his wit and humor to the end.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen Morgan, his
son, Dr. William Robert Morgan III, grandchildren Emily and
Matthew, of Wooster, Ohio, his daughter, Diane Susan
Morgan, and David Jay Post, granddaughter, Meghan, of
Slate Hill, NY, and his dear childhood friend Arlene Enners.
He was predeceased by his parents, William R. and Dorothy
Anna Morgan, Stamford, NY.
A very special thanks go out to his longtime friend Bobby Marsh,
the wonderful nursing staff and physicians at Orange Regional
Medical Center, and
all the many, people who brought a
smile to his face, and to which he returned the favor. In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Middletown,

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28th, from 3-6 p.m, with
services by the Elks Fraternal Order at 5:30 p.m. at
Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Ave, Middletown,
Following the services, the family invites friends to celebrate Bill's life
at the Elk's Club,Highland Avenue, Middletown . Burial service with military honors will be held on
Friday, July 1st at 11 a.m. at the Orange County Veteran's Cemetery at
Hero's Way & Craigsville Road, Goshen.
