Obituary for William Conde, Sr.
William Conde Sr., age 73, died on April 14, 2021 in Middletown, NY 10940 after a short illness at Garnet Health. William worked for over 15 years with the Middletown School District as a Cleaner before retiring. William was born on December 9, 1947 in Puerto Rico and later moved to Middletown, NY in 1965. He was an avid sports fan which included his love of the NY Yankees and Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed watching horse racing and loved to “feed the horses” as he would say. William was also a valued member for close to 50 years at St. Joseph’s Church where he was an usher for the Spanish Mass.
He is survived by his wife, Delia Conde, daughters, Zaida Olivo and husband Bob Olivo, Marilyn Conde and wife Nicole Hanaway, son, William Conde Jr., and two grandchildren Juliana Conde and Ilan Conde. He is also survived by several siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.
Viewing will take place on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 4-7 PM, at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Avenue Middletown NY, 10940. A mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Joseph’s Church at 149 Cottage Street Middletown, NY 10940. Burial will be private.
