Obituary for William "Bill" W. Greene
Bill Greene, 44, of Middletown, beloved father, son, uncle, and friend entered into rest at home on Friday, March 24, 2006.
The son of Phyllis Andriessen and the late Walter Greene, he was born on May 28, 1961.
Bill was a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a biomedical technician. Most recently he was the Director of Clinical Engineering at Westchester Medical Center.
Bill was considered by many “The nicest person you’d ever meet.” He was a kind and gracious man to everyone. He was the guy you could always call.
Bill dearly loved all his family and friends but his heart belonged to his children. His smile and sense of humor will brighten our lives forever.
He is survived by his children, Aaron and Olivia Greene and his ex-wife Judith, his mother, Phyllis; sister Linda Coleman and her husband Jerre of Middletown; brother Niles Greene and his wife Candy of Greensboro, NC; sister Mary Mingle of Ridgeway, CO; brother Walter Greene and his wife Dawn of Walton, NY. He is also survived by his stepmother, Nancy Greene and her children. He was a loving uncle to Dana Hahn, Trevor Coleman, Ryan and Mahala Greene, Julie and Matt Lofquist, Celestine Mingle, and Madison Greene. He also leaves behind his cherished girlfriend, Maureen Coleman and her daughters, Allison and Lindsay Coleman of Peekskill, NY.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, March 27th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance will take place on Tuesday, March 28th at 11 am atSt. James Episcopal Church, 1 St. James Place, Goshen.
Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill’s name may be made to “The Educational Fund For The Children of William Greene” c/o Linda Coleman, 14 Winchester Avenue, Middletown.
