In Loving Memory of William “Bill” Ellis Bright
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bill, who left us peacefully on October 20, 2024. Born on November 25, 1951 in Middletown, NY he was the son of the late William and Clara (Malik) Bright. Bill spent his life embracing the beauty of the outdoors and sharing that passion with those around him.
An avid hunter, fisherman and longtime member of Shawangunk Fish and Game Association Bill found joy in nature. His loyal canine Wally and other hunting dogs through the years including Chester, Beaumont and Sandy who were faithfully by his side, their bond unmistakable.
Bill is survived by sister Barbara Kitchen and family members including Deborah (Mike) Kessler, Terry (Teresa) Gilbert, Lisa (Kevin) Althaus, Michael (Lori) Kitchen, and David Kitchen of Ohio. Several great nieces and nephews and numerous great-great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, brother Robert Bright, brother-in- law David Kitchen, and niece Jennifer Byron.
Bill leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and a reminder to find joy in the simplest moments.A private funeral will be held on behalf of Bill. A memorial scholarship and celebration of life will take place at a later date.
