Vivian M. Rivera was born in NYC on 8/27/1950 and transitioned to her heavenly life on 11/19/2021.
Vivian was born in NYC and lived in the Bronx and Manhattan until she moved to Middletown NY with her spouse, and son 35 years ago. Vivian worked both in NYC and Goshen as a legal secretary and paralegal for over 30 years.
Vivian was the first-born child of Lucy and Cesar Matanzo. Both parents are deceased.
She is survived by her spouse of 41 years, Victor Rivera, her son, Daniel Mark Rivera, her 5 siblings, James Matanzo, Cesar Matanzo, Thomas Matanzo, Magalie Matanzo and Lisa Ardizzone and many nieces/nephews.
The service for Vivian is at Applebee McPhillips Funeral Home on Monday 11/22/2021 with a viewing from 3-7 pm.
Her funeral Mass will be on Tuesday 11:00am at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Middletown followed by internment at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen immediately after.
