Vivian Bennett, 91 of Middletown and formerly from Lewes, Delaware, entered into her eternal journey Sunday, September 5, 2021. The daughter of Joseph Costa and Helen Benvenuto Costa, she was born on October 20, 1929 in Bronx, New York.. Vivian retired from Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, New Jersey as a Credit Manager.
Vivian married the love of her life, Ray, at the age of 18 and had a lasting love for 64 years. For all those who knew Vivian, she was fun-loving, kind and full of energy- a real spitfire!
She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother. Taking care of her family was the most important thing in her life.
Cooking was her favorite past time; she was a phenomenal cook. IN addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her loving husband Ray, son; Joseph, Brother; Salvatore, and longtime friend, Rose.
Vivian is survived by her daughter Joy and her husband Charlie, two grandchildren, Charlie and his wife Ali, and Anthony, who is serving in the U.S., Navy, her brother John, sister-in-law Alma, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 140 Highland Avenue, Middletown, New York from 1 to 3 P.M. with a Service of Remembrance at 2:30 P.M.
