Virginia “Ginny” Apko of Middletown, died on Friday April 28 at O.R.M.C. Horton Campus Middletown, NY. She was 88.
The daughter of the late George and Madeline Bouteiller Avery she was born on February 8, 1918 in NYC, NY. Ginny married John C. Apko on October 4, 1963 in the Bronx.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the Happy Seniors in Middletown.
A family statement reads:
“First and foremost, she was a wonderful, loving Mom and grandmother. She enjoyed going our to eat, playing cards and bingo. She liked watching soap operas and game shopws on t.v. She was a peace loving person.”
Ginny is survived by her daughter, Joan DeBeauvernet and her husband Sonny of Middletown, sons Robert Apko of Slate Hill and Dennis Apko of Middletown, four grandchildren, Michael DeBeauvernet and his wife Christine of Naugatuck, CT, John DeBeauvernet and his wife, Kathleen of Slate Hill, Christopher DeBeauvernet and his wife Terri of Westtown and Robert DeBeauvernet and his wife Lisa of Bloomingburg, and 10 great-grandchildren, Maria and her husband Dave, Ryan, Kasey, Nicholas, Konnor, Courtney, Brandon, Corrine, Nikolas and Robert.
Friends may call on Monday, May 1, 2006 from 9 to 11 am at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Fuenral Service will be held at 11 am at the funeral home, Pastor Peter Rustico will officate. Burial will follow in the family plot in George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652.
