Obituary for Virginia "Gini" Rahm-Ossman
Virginia Rahm-Ossman, a longtime area resident died after a courageous battle with cancer Wednesday, February 08, 2006 at O.R.M.C. Horton Campus. She was 62 years old.
The daughter of the late Peter and Carolyn Ruth Manus, she was born October 25, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY.
A family statement reads, “Gini was a wonderful mom and grandma. She brought a smile to us even as she suffered through her illness. She fought a courageous battle with cancer, and always had a positive outlook. Gini got the most enjoyment from her grandchildren, they were the light of her life.”
She is survived by her loving sons, Robert Rahm of Middletown, Michael Rahm and his wife, Helen, of Florida, NY; two grandsons Michael John and Christopher James; two brothers, George Manus of Thousand Oaks, CA, Peter Manus of Florida; and one sister, Linda Manus of Washingtonville.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, February 13, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance will take place at 8 pm at the funeral home.
Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations in Gini’s name may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, New York 10940.
