Obituary for Vicki A. Gibbs
Vicki A. Gibbs, 69, of Greenville, joined her predeceased husband and family members peacefully on May 29, 2007 at home surrounded by her daughters.
She was the daughter of the late Victor and Fredericka Moore Leal, born on May 5, 1938 in New York, NY.
She unselfishly took care of her husband, Harry, for 18 years through his own poor health. Upon his demise, she focused all of her energy and love upon her grandchildren and her bargain shopping which benefited and delighted all of us. She was a classy lady with much warmth and beauty and a strong will to live.Â
She bravely and stoically battled many life threatening illnesses, but relented in the end to return home to her heavenly father.
Vicki is survived by her devoted sister, Myrna L. Burr of Bloomfield, NJ; four beloved daughters  and their families Andrea L. Linthicum and her husband, Randel of Houston, Hillary F. Gibbs of Middletown, Nikki E. Greco and her husband, Salvatore of Cheverly, MD, Patricia B. Rodriguez and her husband, Paul, of Middletown; and her eight cherished grandchildren Randel, Lea, SarahRose, Sonny, Harry, SéJean, Gabriela, and Mia; her cousins Sandra and Karen, nephews, extended family and Princess.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, June 3 from 1 to 3 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown. A funeral service of remembrance will be held on Monday, June 4 at 11am at the funeral home.
