Vancie L. Davis a resident of Middletown died Monday, August 29, 2011 at Middletown Park Manor. She was 96 years old.Â
She was the last survivor of the ten children born to the late Robert and Willie Bullock. Vancie was born on October 27, 1914 in Warren, NC.
 Vancie was very active in the missionaries and she and her husband Horace visited the homebound parishioners from the church that they attended in NYC. She was also a deaconess of the AME Zion Church.
Vancie is survived by her loving son William and his wife Phyllis of Middletown and five grandchildren William, Maurice and his wife Misty, Wanda, Timothy and Lavern, and her three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Artelia Mitchell in 1980.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon., Saturday, September 3, 2011 at St. John’s AME Zion Church, 103 East Avenue, Middletown, New York, 10940. Funeral services following at 12 noon in the church.
