Obituary for Thomas Witkowski
Thomas Witkowski, a lifetime area resident and retired Shop Steward at Yellow Freight Co., died at home surrounded by his family.
The son of the late Julia Kostycz and John Witkowski, and one of five children, he was born on July 29, 1947 in Middletown, New York.
Tom was a devoted husband to his wife Jean, who predeceased him in 2007.
He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed time spent with his family and friends.
Tom was predeceased by his son Tommy in 1985 and survived by his remaining children; Anthony and his wife Lisa of Milford, Pennsylvania, Allan and his wife Renee of LaGrange, Kentucky, and Tami Witkowski and her significant other Tyler Angus of Ridgebury, New York, one brother James and his wife Barbara of Surprise, Arizona and nine grandchildren; Nicole, Eric, Elizabeth, Sarah, Kylee, Jason, Travis, Erin and Katie.
Visitation will be held at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home,130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, New York on Saturday, February 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a Service of Remembrance at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at the family plot in Ridgebury Cemetery, Ridgebury, New York.
