Thomas H. Prodgers longtime resident of Middletown died December 12, 2010 surrounded by his loving family at ORMC Horton Campus. He was 95 years old. He was born on December 10, 1915 in Wilkes-Barrie, PA to the late Thomas and Rachel Jones Prodgers.
Thomas liked to be outside, he loved fishing and working in his garden. His yard shrunk as his garden grew. He made homemade soup from the vegetables he grew with his love. He was a handyman who could fix everything; he enjoyed teaching his son-in-law plumbing and electrical. A child in the Great Depression, he learned to use all his skills to make sure his family was always taken care of.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lily, his beloved daughter Linda Nellis and her husband Edward of Summit, NJ, and grandchildren Rachel and Eric. He was predeceased by his son Thomas in 1984.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday , December 27, 2010 from 1-3 PM at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Ave. Middletown, NY 10940
