Born in Manhattan, Thomas thought the Hudson Valley was the most beautiful place in the world and he made Ulster and Orange Counties his home. He attended New York Theological Seminary and served as Assistant Pastor at the Assembly of God church in Kingston, NY. He worked in floor covering much of his adult life and appreciated the artistic challenge installing ceramic tile offered. He enjoyed communing with nature at his cabin in the woods in Lamontville, deep conversation, swimming at the lake, long rides through the countryside, visits to the farmer’s market, studying his bible while sipping hot tea with a purring cat on his lap and most of all, time with his family and all the hugs & kisses he could get/give. His wonderful sense of humor, sharp wit and loving kindness will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 24th at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home in Middletown, NY 4:00-7:00 and will be followed by a private inurnment at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a tree in his memory: Arbor Day Foundation https://shop.arborday.org/trees-in-memory or A Living Tribute https://www.alivingtribute.org/
