Theresia Brech, a longtime resident of Middletown, NY passed away peacefully at Garnet Health Hospital on July 16, 2021. She was 58.
The daughter of Gerald and Hildegard Schratzmeier Brosky, she was born on October 28, 1962, in Queens, NY.
Terri married her soulmate James Brech, at Our Lady of Mercy Church, in Hicksville, NY, in 1983, and had three daughters together.
They eventually moved to Middletown in 1988, where they settled down to raise their family.
Theresia was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and worked as a Claims Analyst for Crystal Run. She enjoyed her job working with and helping people.
When Terri wasn’t working, she loved to enjoy the world around her. She loved to hike, especially in the Rocky Mountains. She traveled all around the world, Ireland being one of the most special places she and her husband favored. Spending quality time with her family and friends was also something she always cherished.
Terri was the type of person that was easy to adore, to know her was to love her. She is described as a very warm and loving woman. She was type of person you wanted to be friends with and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Jim Brech. Daughters, Jessica Brech, Nichole Walsh (Michael), and Rebecca Brech (Niina). Mother, Hildegard Brosky, grandson, Oliver Walsh. Siblings, Karl Brosky (Kerriann), Mary Tisk (Jonathan), and Paul Brosky. In-Laws, Herman and Gloria Brech. Brothers-In-Law, Gerard Brech (Weslea), and Michael Brech (Laura), Sister-In-Law, Lynn Travis (Steven). Uncle George Brosky, Aunt Maureen Brosky, Godmother Mariana Woessner, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Wednesday July 21, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, July 22nd, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.
