Theresa “Terry” Mazzone Sardella
Theresa M. Sardella, 82, a lifetime resident of Middletown, died on August 26, 2021 at Garnet Health after a long illness.
She was surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Carmine and Mary Pirozzi Mazzone, she was born in Middletown on March 20, 1939. She graduated from Middletown High School Class of 1956. She was known to all by her nickname “Terry”, and her friendly personality and outgoing social skills brought her many friends. She had a knack for making others feel comfortable and could carry on conversations with anyone she met. She was a homemaker for most of her life and loved being with her family and friends on special occasions. Terry was a devoted wife for 57 years, a nurturing mother and a fun and loving friend to many.
She felt blessed to have a grandson, Miles, was delighted in all his accomplishments, and loved spending a lot of time being silly with him.
Terry is survived by her devoted and dedicated husband, Frank, her son, Frank Jr. and wife Monika of Clearwater, Florida, daughters; Joanne Aumann and partner Gary Hanson of Afton, New York, Nancy Rudolph and husband Howard of Long Island, New York and Donna Rosenberg and husband Matthew of Los Angeles, California, and one very precious grandchild, Miles Rudolph.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Garnet Health and Middletown Park for the care and compassion given to Terry and her family during her stay. They would also like to thank the doctors and staff of Middletown Medical.
Funeral Arrangements were held privately at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Parish of Saint Joseph in Middletown, NY in the name of Theresa M. Sardella. Arrangements are made under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Inc.,. www.applebee-mcphillips.com.
