Theresa D Giglio loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend died October 25, 2021. The daughter of Constance (Fleesak) and Anthony Pafundi, she was born in Brooklyn NY. Theresa had 3 sisters Dorothy, Marilyn, and Anna. Anna's husband Carl always referred to himself as her 4th sister! Theresa married James Giglio at St. Malachy Church in Brooklyn. Shortly after getting married, she had her son Joseph (Margaret), her daughter Maria (Steve) and Matthew. Theresa has 2 Grandchildren Hillary and Liam, whom she adored and had many laughs with. Theresa has many nieces and nephews spread all over the country, from NY to California.
Theresa was well known around Chester as the "Avon Lady" which she sold for over 50 years. Every Christmas friends and family delighted over their Avon gifts! You could always find Theresa mingling and chatting with her friends at the Chester Senior Center amid the Bingo games! Theresa was always up for a party or a vacation especially bus trips to Atlantic City playing the nickel slot machines. Theresa loved her Catholic faith and all her church buddies. She went on many visits to Catholic Shrines with St. Columba Church. Theresa was well known for her good sense of humor. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, October 28th at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown NY, 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday October 29th, at 11 am, St. Columba’s R.C. Church. Burial will follow in St. Columba’s Cemetery, Chester, NY.
