Teresita “Grace” Solano, a 20 year resident of Middletown, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown as the result of an accident. She was 56. The daughter of Soledad Ramos and the late Magtanggol Ramos, she was born on August 28, 1955 in Manila, Philippines.
In addition to her mother, Soledad of Middletown, Grace is survived by her loving husband, Arturo at home; her two sons, Sherwin and his wife Kristen and Jeffrey and his wife Crystal; and one daughter, Abigail; three sisters, Ester Ramos, Evangeline Papp and her husband Zoli, Evelyn Pilande and her husband, Ver and one brother, Eleazar Ramos and his wife Leticia. She is also survived by her beloved granddaughter, Gracie Solano, nieces, Ther Galang, Claire and Sheryl Ramos and nephews Lex Galang and his wife Audrey, Don Torres, Marvin and Ed Pilande and one great-niece Angelina Torres.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 pm on Friday, March 2, 2012 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at her church, St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Cremation will be private. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home.
