Goshen, NY
Talbot P. Frawley, Sr. of Goshen NY, died on Monday November 16 surrounded by his loving family at his home in Goshen. He was 67.
The son of the late Talbot A. and Veronica Thorn Frawley, he was born on January 24, 1942 in the Bronx. He proudly served in the US Merchant Marines and loved being around the ocean. He married Joan Crane on August 11, 1961 in the Bronx.
Tab moved to the Goshen area 37 years ago and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church.
He will be remembered for his enormous generosity-his heart was bigger than he was. He was an extremely loving and caring, husband, father and grandfather and he loved being around his family. He especially loved the summertime when he could be with his family poolside.
In addition to his family and friends, he will be dearly missed by his crew at Henry J's. He was a diehard fan of both the NY Giants and Yankees.
Tab is survived by his loving wife, Joan at home; his children, Laura of Pine Bush, Kathryn of Yankee Lake, James of Flower Branch, GA and Joan Frawley of Bloomingburg; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Talbot III, Christopher, Loren, Jonathan, Collin, and Sean.
Tab was predeceased by one son, Talbot P. Frawley, Jr. in 1994.
Visitation hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Murray Avenue, Goshen, NY 10924. Burial will follow in the family plot in Wallkill Cemetery, Midway Road, Middletown, NY.
