Thomas Michael McManus of New Hampton, died on Saturday March 5 at Nyack Hospital in Nyack, NY. He was 63.
The son of the late John D. and Catherine Townley McManus, he was born on August 1, 1947 in Newburgh. Michael served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict and received commendations for his service. He worked for Yellow Freight in Middletown until his recent retirement. Mike was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Middletown.
He is survived by his sons, Michael J. McManus and his wife Dianna and Scott McManus and his fiance Pisei; one brother, John D. McManus and his wife Pat of Lakeland, FL; and his grandchildren, Michael Jr., Anissa, Gabriella, Juliafa and the mother of his children, Barbara.
Visitation hours for Michael will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Applebee-McPhillips Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial with Military honors will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY.
