December 13, 1976 to September 19, 2022
David G. and Anne B. Smith of Englewood, FL and formerly of Middletown, NY are saddened beyond words to announce the passing of their beloved daughter, Suzanne Elizabeth of New York City and Middletown, on September 19, 2022.
Suzanne was a 1994 graduate of Middletown High School, attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and studied under the renowned acting teacher Wynn Handman. She performed in several movies, on television, and in theatre. She created and starred in the popular comedy web series "Saige Winters". Suzanne was also a well-known and beloved children's storyteller, prolific writer and teaching artists.
Suzanne was a life force full of creativity and new ideas. Given her 20-year battle with metastatic breast cancer, she proved to be a powerful example of courage and strength.
Suzanne will be sorely missed by her parents, relatives, many friends, boyfriend Ted Blumberg of New York City, and her precious cat Pablo.
Burial will be private. A Celebration of Life for Suzanne will take place on October 15th, beginning promptly at 2:00 pm at the Middletown High School auditorium. Please visit the Applebee McPhillips Funeral Home website for obituary, photo and details.
