Obituary for Susan Fahsing
Susan Fahsing, aged 72, of Port Jervis, NY, passed away on January 1, 2025, after a battle with breast cancer. Susan was born on March 22, 1952, in White Plains, NY. Susan graduated from North Rockland High School where she loved playing the flute in the high school band. The ocean was her favorite place, and she spent many summers with family in LBI. She loved to cook and bake for family and friends.
Susan is predeceased by her father (William Fahsing) and mother (Ruth Stern). She is survived by her ex-spouse Jeffrey Sanford and their three children, Jeffrey Sanford Jr., Crystal (Thomas) Buhler, and Heidi (Daniel) Schoonbeck, and two grandsons, Matthew and Benjamin Buhler.
Visitation will be held at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral home in Middletown, NY on January 15, 2025, at 11am with a Memorial Service to follow at 12pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization near and dear to Susan’s heart.
