Obituary for Susan Diaz
Susan Diaz of Middletown died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY. She was 80 years old.
She was born June 15, 1925 in New York City, the daughter of the late Liberato and Concettina Michetti.
Susan is survived by three daughters, Nola Zito and her husband Rocco of Syosset, NY, Linda Kubler of Midldletown and Maryellen Mole’ and her husband Joseph of Dover Plains, NY; three sons, Paul Kearns and his wife Cheryl of Hudson, NY, Robert Diaz and his wife Carla of Landers, CA and Brian Diaz; two brothers, Joseph Michetti and his wife Helen of Vacaville, CA and Gilbert Michetti of Red Hook, NY; one sister, Gilda Nicastro of Red Hook, NY; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A family statement reads:” She gave us all cherished gifts and many beautiful poems that we can carry with us always and will be sadly missed until we see her again in God’s new world”.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown. Prayer services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 23, 10am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.
