Stanley P. De Graw, a lifetime resident of Middletown, NY, died peacefully on March 12, 2022 at home surrounded by his family after 92 active years of life.

The son of Clarence and Susie Hulse De Graw, he was born in Middletown, NY on April 25, 1929.
Stan married the love of his life, Charlotte Smith, who died on October 21, 2014. Together they raised three children and taught them their best qualities of hard work, kindness, and love of God.
Stan was a man who cherished family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and was always willing to help anyone in need.

Born and raised a farmer, Stan had an intense work ethic. He started his active career in the kitchen at Middletown State Hospital. Over the years, Stan was never idle; in addition to farming, he drove school buses for both Goshen and Minisink Valley Schools, worked for Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center, ran a family landscaping business, and served as an Orange County Deputy Sheriff Department in Goshen, NY.

Stan is survived by his sister Joan and husband Sid Poff of Florida, his oldest son, Stan Watts and wife Julie of Florida and his children Michelle, Diane and Brian. Stan is also survived by his children, Ruthie Gerrands of Michigan and children Tayna, Sheena and Benjamin, Valerie Varner and husband John of Pennsylvania and their daughter Selentine, Peter and wife Sheri of Indiana, and their children Andrew, Isaac and Bethany.

Viewing and a Funeral Service will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 70 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940 on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 1 PM.
