Stanley Frederick, Sr., a longtime resident of Sparta, NJ and recently of Matamoras, PA, died at his home on Thursday, June 24, 2010. He was 92.
The son of the late Stanley and Helen Manko , he was born on October 27, 1917 in Goshen, NY. Stan proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. After he completed his military service, he worked as a carpenter. We will always remember his great pleasure in family gatherings with his siblings; his blessings of grandchildren and his delight in Polka music and dance.
Stan is survived by his son, Stanley , Jr, and daughter Yvonne Griffith; brother, Frank and his sisters, Helen Forney, Stella Amitrano, Tilly Kendall, Rose Pendleton, Alice Merritt and Anna Frederick; two grandchildren, Jay and Michelle and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his four brothers: Russell, Edward, Benjamin and Alexander.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, NY 10940. A Funeral Service in Remembrance will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial with Military honors will follow at O.C.
