Stacie Stephanie Tava of Port Jervis NY, died on Friday June 22 at O.R.M.C.. Middletown, NY. She was 49.
The daughter of Annibale Stephan Tava and the late Claire Courtney, Stacie was born on July 20, 1962 in Ridgewood, NJ. Stacie loved animals, especially her four dogs, Lightning, Storm, Cyclone and Tinkles, and three cats, Buzzsaw, Morris and Dumpster. She enjoyed fishing, watching wildlife, and gardening. She was a kind-hearted soul who helped take care of the elderly and loved to read. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #544 in Middletown.
She is survived by her significant other, William A. Snyder of Middletown; one brother, Courtney Tava and his wife Cindy of Port Jervis and one sister, Vaune Sherin and her husband, Michael of Maybrook; nieces, Casey DiDonato and her husband John of Bloomingburg and Kaitlin Sherin of FLA and nephews, Corey Tava of Port Jervis and Kelly Sherin of Brooklyn.
Visitation hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 7 pm on Sunday, June 24th, Rev. John Horan, O.Carm. Cremation will be private at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope. Burial will be private at Manning Cemetery in Port Jervis.
Memorial contributions in Stacie's name may be made to Middletown Humane Society, Bloomingburg Road, Middletown, NY 10940 or the animal charity of one's choice.

Cremation will be private.
Burial will follow in the family plot in Manning Cemetery
