Obituary for Sandra J. Wilson
Sandra J. Wilson
9/26/68-3/23/2020
Middletown, NY
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7
Sandra Jacqueline Wilson (Deacon) Age 51 passed away peacefully on March 23rd, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Sandra was born on September 26th, 1968 in Kingston, Jamaica to Albert and Jeroline (nee Robinson) Deacon. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, a caring and loyal sister and friend. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to cook, and she always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family.
Sandra will be remembered as a selfless and loving mother who always had a smile even when times were tough, she was always thoughtful and thinking of her children and grandchildren. She had a quiet strength, she never complained and always looked to a better future. Her character and temperament can be best shown from the time she was diagnosed with Leukemia in October of 2018, until her passing. Sandra had every right to cry, be mad or fall into depression after her diagnosis, but instead she loved and lived every moment she was given, neither hard times nor cancer could rob her of who she was. Always graceful and positive, until God called her home.
She is survived by her husband Christopher Wilson; daughters Cornia Wilson-Henry, Cameisha Dixon (Wilson), Christina Wilson; grandchildren Tristan and Noelle Dixon; step-son Katriel Riley; her parents Albert and Jeroline Deacon; her brothers Paul Deacon, Rowan Deacon, Trevor Deacon; her sisters Janet James and Lorna Duff; friends Jackie James, Michael Edwards, Colin Morris, Janet Searchwell; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be forever missed. Rest in Paradise Sandy.
