It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Samrong Prum who died on May 30, 2020. He was 38.
The son of John H. Prum and Saret Chan, Sam was born in Thailand on October 3, 1981.
He worked as a treatment aide at Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Forensic Hospital and was married to the love of his life Tania Ferrera Prum.
Sam was a kind and selfless man who was always willing to help anyone in need. He was loved by many, and cherished his numerous friends and will be remembered for his infectious smile that had endeared all he knew. Especially the children, particularly his nephews Avery and Landen.
Sam is survived by his loving wife, Tania at home. His sister, Prue McVey and her husband Christopher, his brother Pinith Prum, and his two loving nephews, Avery and Landen.
Burial will take place in the family plot in Wallkill Cemetery. Arrangements are made under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. Www.applebee-mcphillips.com.
