Obituary for Ruthann Schwander
Ruthann Schwander was a homemaker and mother of two whose life was tragically taken from her on Sunday, December 10, 2006. She was 48 years old. The daughter of Ruth and the late Paul J. Monroe, Ruthann was born October 4, 1958 in Yonkers, NY. A family statement reads,”She had a big heart with enough room for everyone, especially cats. Ruthann was gifted as a cook and had a wonderful sense of humor.” She is survived by her mother, Ruth; two beloved daughters Tina of Maybrook and Kimberly of Monticello; precious grandchild Riley Burton; five brothers Paul John Monroe of Cornwall, David L. Monroe of Cornwall, Howard C. Monroe of Harriman, Donald A. Monroe of Goshen, James E. Monroe and his wife, Mary, of Montgomery; sisters Vivien Hartman of Nokomis, FL, Pauline Prusakowski of Wappingers Falls; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Thursday, December 14, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held at 8 pm at the funeral home.Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family.
