Ruth Zoghby, a retired occupational therapy aide for Middletown Psychiatric Center, died on Thursday February 4 at Campbell Hall Health Care Center. She was 70.
The daughter of the late Aziz E. and Mabel Khouri Zoghby, Ruth was born on March 4, 1939 in Middletown. She spent her lifetime in Middletown and was a longtime member of First Congregational Church. She enjoyed bowling and played on Middletown Bowling Leagues for many years.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Jan Zoghby and her nephews, David, Kevin and Allen and her niece Linda as well as 7 great nephews and 4 great nieces.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her only brother, Richard "Dick" Zoghby in May of 2004.
Cremation will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at Ruth’s church, First Congregational Church, on Saturday, February 13th from 9 to 11 am. A Memorial Service will follow on Saturday at 11:00 AM at First Congregational Church, 35 East Main Street, Middletown, NY, 10940, Rev. Jeffrey Farley will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ruth’s name may be made to First Congregational Church or the charity of one’s choice.
