Ruth Duda, a longtime resident of New Hampton, NY, died on Wednesday January 17 at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. Â She was 81.
The daughter of the late August and Alwina Hoff Hundelt she was born on September 17, 1925 in St. Louis, MO.      Â
She was the wife of William J. Duda, who predeceased her on January 26, 1977.
A family statement reads: " Ruth was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a strong, independent and loyal person who loved God, her family, and her friends. She was a selfless and charitable woman who person who spent her life caring for others. She will forever missed".
She is survived by her children; Karen Cannon and her husband Tim of St. Louis, MO, Christopher Duda and his wife Ruth of Goshen, Daniel Duda and his wife Sandy of Goffstown, NH, Mary Williams of Goshen, and Patricia McEachern and her husband Bob of Circleville; her brother, Robert of St. Charles, MO; seven grandchildren, Maureen, Bridget, Katie, Alex, Kaitlin, Shannon, Sydney and one greatgrandson, Colin.
In addition to her husband, Ruth was predeceased by her twin brother, Ralph, and son-in-law Simon Williams.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, January 21st from 2 to 4 And 7 to 9 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 22 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Avenue,Middletown, NY. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. John's Cemetery in Goshen.
