Mother Ruby Mae Primus was born on October 27, 1944, in St George, SC to the late Eddie Mae
Carter and the late Marion Fields.
She married the late David Primus on May 13, 1959.
Mother Primus departed this life on February 17, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents and
her husband.
Mother Primus was born and raised in St. George, SC. She received her education through the
William Memorial School House.
Mother Primus was wedded to David Primus in 1959. The parents also welcomed Harold, their first bundle of joy, in 1959. The Primus’ moved to Brooklyn, NY in 1960 after the birth of their second child Pauletta. They remained in Brooklyn, NY for a few
years where their third and fourth children, Harriet (1960) and David (1964) were born. The Primus’ then returned to St George, SC in 1966 where they remained for a period of time raising their children. In 2006, Mother Primus moved to Milford, PA and resided with her son Pastor David Wayne Primus and her late Daughter in Law, Apostle Carolyn Primus. She then secured her
own residency in PA where she lived out the rest of her life.
Mother Primus was employed by the Holiday Inn and served as a cook for 20 years. She was also
employed for a while as a cook for an establishment named Griffins. Mother Primus loved cooking for her family and made food items from scratch with ease. Over the years, other activities that became her favorite ways to pass time were completing puzzles and painting pictures.
In 1978, Mother Primus gave her life to the Lord and began attending Bethel Baptist Church of St. George, SC. She served as a member at Bethel Baptist church and raised her children in the church for many years. In 2006, Mother Primus become a member of Tabernacle of Faith of Holiness Church, Lords Valley, PA where she was doted the tile of “Mother” during her service to the church. Mother Primus continued her service at Tabernacle of Faith of Holiness Church until the Lord called her home.

37 Great Grand Children: Celena, Emerald, Corey, Anthony, Laila, Travon, Quishanti, Roy, Tyson,
Xavier, Zachary Tatianna, Kaylynn, Tyrone, Tynisha, Jeremiah, Mya, Hazel, Brielle, Jaxson,
Jeremiah, Joshua, Alliyah, Jubilee, Ariah. Emanuel, Omarion, Nadia, Dylan, David, Jr., Kyrie, Tyrie,
Makenzie, Deevone, Tubaris, Zakiya
11 Great- Great -Grand Children and a host of family members including cousins, nieces and
nephews.
