Obituary for Ronnie Mills
Ronnie Mills passed September 1, 2024 at 61 years old. Son of Reginald and Beverly Mills, he was born in Long Branch, New Jersey on January 23,1963. Born with Down Syndrome, he displayed a jovel attitude for his 61 years of life. Ronnie loved being around people and brought happiness to many with his smile and banter. In his early years he was a competitive swimmer in the New York Special Olympics winning many medals as folks cheered his determined attitude breast stroking down the pool at West Point, Military Academy. Later he enjoyed horseback riding and summer camps at Camp Sunrise in Warwick, N.Y. Ronnie was a big fan of long walks, particularly with his Mom and Dad as they would travel the road in front of their home and most of Orange Counties many parks. Thomas Bull Park's arboretum was a favorite for all.
He loved celebrating the holidays at home with his family and in his later years with his extended family at ARC's Hampton House and Campbell Hall Day Program. Ronnies strength through life was his positive attitude which enabled him to overcome his physical challenges.
Ronnie is succeeded by a loving mother Beverly Mills and his brothers Reginald of Austin, Texas and Robert Mills of Medfield, MA , his sister in-laws Kathy Mills and Laurie Mills and his Nephews and Niece, Mathew, Jack and Caroline Mills. His loving father, Reginald Mills Sr. passed in 2018. Ronnies memorial service is 11 AM Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Circleville Presbyterian Church.
