Obituary for Ronald V. Brown
Ronald V. Brown of Middletown, NY passed away quietly at Orange Regional Medical Center on November 17, 2017. He was born November 8, 1935 in Johnson City, NY,
the son of the late Ronald W. Brown and Ida Ruth Brown.
He was a graduate of Honesdale, PA High School. Ron was a member of the Webb Horton Church and the owner of Wurtsboro Oil Company. He was active in many civic organizations, including: Middletown Kiwanis, Elks, Masons, and Excelsior Fire Dept. He was 2nd Ward Alderman in Middletown for many years and was also Middletown Alderman-at-Large and Orange County Legislator.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joan, of Montabaur Heights, Clarence, NY, his daughter, Ellen LaPorte, and her husband Jerry of Westfield NY; his son Ronald J. Brown of Niskayuna NY; his granddaughter Anne Fahey and her husband Joseph of Williamsville NY; his sister Sharon Chamberlain of Tunkhannock PA; and his brothers Gail and Steve Brown of the state of Florida.
In accordance with Ron’s wishes, services will be private at the convenience of the family. He will be cremated with internment in the family plot in PA.
