Ronald F. Palmer, a lifetime Middletown resident, died on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Highland Manor in Middletown. He was 63.
The son of Rose B. Cushing Palmer and the late Elmer F. Palmer, Sr., he was born on August 25, 1950 in Middletown, NY. Ron served his country proudly in the U.S. Army from 1969-72. He married Patirica Bunton on June 9, 1973 in Middletown, NY.
He worked for Lee Zolden as a plumber for many years in Middletown.
Ron is survived by his wife Patricia at home, son Gregory A. Bunton of Accord; daughters, Kimberly R. Grubiak and her husband Eric of Port Jervis and Melissa Smykla and her husband John Smykla, Jr., brother Larry ; sisters, Beatrica and Nancy and grandchildren Griffin, Jacob, Wyatt, and Matthew.
He was predeceased by his five siblings, Elmer, Patricia, Bob, Donnie, Helen and Sue and one grandson, Joshua in 2007.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. Cremation will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. Cremation will be private at the convenience of the family.
