Robert “Bob” V. Reardon, a long time area resident, died on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 70.
Robert was born on June 10, 1942 in Queens and moved to the Orange County area in 1976. He was the owner of Quickway Glass in Middletown. He was a member of the Middletown B.P.O.E. #1097 and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Middletown.
Bob had a great personality. He was a people person who always had a smile on his face. He will always be remembered as a good and loyal friend. His pets also held a special place in his heart. He enjoyed vacationing at Lake George where he could relax with his family and friends over a few cocktails and ride around in his pontoon boat. He collected gadgets of all kinds and loved his truck, his Ford F 150.
He is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne at home; his sons, Thomas Reardon of Wurtsboro, Robert Reardon, Jr. and his wife Dawn of Hyde Park, NY; daughters, Catherine Reardon, Donna Vance and her husband Dean and Veronica Walker and her husband Jeff ,all of Middletown; and one brother, Michael Dean of Middletown. He is also survived by his five cherished grandchildren, Taylor, Thomas, James, Damien and Matthew, they lit up his life.
Cremation will be private.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940.Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
