Robert N. Uhrig was Born on December 24,1951 in Brooklyn, NY to his parents, Adolph and Mariel (Jones) Uhrig.
He spent his life in Westtown, NY raising his family. Robert went to eternal rest at home on September 20, 2022.
He graduated from Minisink Valley High School in 1971 where he met his high school sweetheart, Doris (Williams) Uhrig, and they married in 1972. They have been married for the past 50 years.
Robert is survived by his wife, Doris and by his son Jeromy Uhrig and his wife Jennifer, his daughter René Wix, 5 grandchildren: David and Jillian Wix, Isabella, Lillyana, and Joseph Uhrig. His Siblings, Helen Banach, Rosemarie Cutler, Richard Uhrig and his wife Kathleen, Artie Uhrig and Suzanne Fairweather.
Robert is also survived by his mother-in-law Jean Williams, as well as several nieces and nephews, beloved cousins, Howell and Rose Griffiths of Wales, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins in Wales.
Robert was predeceased by his parents Adolph and Mariel Uhrig, his brother David Ian Uhrig, and his father-in-law Stanley Williams.
Robert worked for Yellow Freight for 30 and a Half years. He was a member of the Teamsters 707. a loyal member of the Volunteer Greenville Fire Department for many years. He also coached for Minisink Valley Youth Football League for many years.
Robert is remembered as a dedicated family man, beloved husband, father, loving papa to his grandchildren, Uncle Butch to many of his nieces and nephews and a devoted brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
