Robert K. Nestor, a Bloomingburg resident, died on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Middletown Park Manor. He was 77.
The son of the late Theodore and Mildred Korkorski Nestor, he was born on February 12, 1935 in the Bronx, NY. He served his country as a member of the US Navy Reserves. Robert worked as an industrial plumber for Kay Fries Chemical until his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church and the B.P.O Elks #1097 in Middletown.
He taught his family affection and gave them all a love of reading. He was very dedicated to his family, and cherished his wife, Trish, most of all. He enjoyed the Jersey shore and was happiest when his family was all together. He was a kind and laid back father to his children and his life lessons will carry on for their families. He also loved animals and his pets.
In addition to his loving wife "Trish"; he is survived by his two sons, John and Andrew and his wife Jennifer, all of Milford, PA; and his daughters, Lauren O'Sullivan and her partner Eddie Bunn of Middletown, Brenda Rafferty and her husband Keith of Centerport, NY, Alicia Fant and her husband Michael of Burlingham and Colleen Nestor of Middletown. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren, Matthew Ryan, Cory, Dean, Sean, Ryan, Eric, Kyle, Matthew, Patrick, Danielle, Corinne, Sarah, Carly, Courtney, Mariah, Brandon, Brittany, Chelsea and Zoe.
Cremation will be private.
Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, July 20, 2012 at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
