He also loved fishing and dancing.Loving, caring, open, helpful, resourceful, kind, positive, selfless, easygoing, a jokester, gentle, he was a smooth fitting puzzle piece to any group or family. He was always lending a helpful hand, always playful with nieces, nephews and little kids - taking the time to make them laugh and feel just as important, or even more so, at family functions. A devoted husband, father and family man; he was never down on life, outwardly grateful to all always; a true steward of great friendship…He is survived by his loving wife, Jayna, at home; his children: Gregory McAteer of Ocee, FL, Trish McAteer of Middletown, Matthew Trifari of Queens and Andrew Trifari of Middletown; his father, Robert Sr., of Middletown; sister, Gail Blackwell and her husband, Joseph of Middletown; in-laws: Bob and Nancy DePew, Bobby and Pat DePew and Keith DePew and Sharleen Foster, all of Middletown, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
