Obituary for Robert H. Fair
Robert H. Fair of Slate Hill went home to be with the Lord on May 13, 2010. He was 56.
He retired from IBM where he was employed as an engineer for 32 years. Bob enjoyed fine wood working, gardening, camping and traveling in his RV with his family.
Bob was born in Dover, PA, the son of the late Melvin E. Fair and Thelma M. Fair.
He leaves his loving wife, Roberta E. Fair and his two daughters, Jessie and Jillian. Survivors include his brother, Melvin E. Fair, Jr. and his wife, Joanie Fair of Dover, PA; sisters-in-law, Deb Townsend and her husband Gil of Wappingers Falls and Kimberly Hogan and her husband Thomas of Pleasant Valley; nieces, Maggie Hogan Bahr and Emma Hogan; and brother-in-law, Jeffrey Cole of Hunter, NY.
Throughout Bob's life, he found stregnth in God. He was deeply blessed by hte outpouring of love and support from his family and friends during his illness. He rested in God's promise fo salvation in Christ and we find great comfort in knowing that Bob is in His care. "But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart od man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." 1 Corinthians 2:9
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 5, at 11 am at the Bread of Life Assembly of God, 2876 State Route 17K, Bullville, NY with a luncheon to follow.
