Robert DiMarco of Middletown, NY, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, entered into rest on December 9, 2010 at the age of 73.
Robert was born on December 26, 1936 to Luigi and Palmarosa (Penza) DiMarco in Yonkers, NY . After graduating from Yonkers High School and serving time in the U.S. Army, he married Carmella Guerra on November 23, 1958. Together for thirty-six years, they raised four children in Yonkers until moving to Middletown in 1986. Robert was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church in Montgomery, NY.
A family statement reads " Dad will be best remembered for his love of the Lord. His witness and testimony of faith throughout his life was his strength and passion. An avid Yankee fan, we will miss his excitement and love of the game. " We have been truly blessed by his unconditional love for us and we are honored to forever continue his legacy of family and fellowship.
Robert is survived by his sons, Domenic and daughter-in-law Ivette; Robert Jr. and his fiancée, Maria Dyseven; Daniel ; and daughter Renee Zurlo and her husbandMark ; grandchildren Angela, Gina and her husband Michael Bellofatto,Christopher, Jacquelyn, Anthony, Daniel, and  Joseph; great-granddaughter Elisa Bellofatto; sister Angelina DeFranceso; 26 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife; Carmella; brothers Domenic and Paul; sisters Tecla Fortunato and Agnes Mucilli.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 on Monday, December 13, 2010 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Ave. Middletown, NY 10940.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held at  10am on  Tuesday with Pastor Herbert Strait officiating at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the family plot in Wallkill Cemetery.
