Robert Colon, a lifetime area resident, died unexpectedly on December 11, 2010 at home. He was 15 years old.
The son of Thomas and Vanessa Conklin Colon, he was born on January 9, 1995 in Middletown. He was currently a 10th grade student at Minisink Valley High School. Robert loved music, both rock and alternative. He loved being outside, and enjoyed fishing and skateboarding. He was always generous; never thinking of himself. Whenever he was needed, he was always there for everyone.
In addition to his parents, Tom and Vanessa, he is survived by his brother, Joseph, all at home; his aunt Corine and uncle George Winchel and aunt Anita and uncle Charles COnklin, as well as several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Visitation hours for Robert will be held from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, December 15, at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday evening at 8:30 pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
